Driving, occupational and other formal assessments are a significant part of Dr Hadinata's practice. Each request is considered case by case, with careful review of relevant information and a reasoned opinion addressing the agreed assessment questions.

A law firm, insurer or other instructing organisation seeking an independent medical expert opinion uses the separate medicolegal pathway.

What an assessment may involve
Depending on the agreed scope, an assessment may include a clinical interview; a review of substance use or addictive behaviours, physical and mental health, medicines, safety and day-to-day function; and consideration of relevant records, results or other appropriately authorised information.
Driving and occupational questions may also require consideration of the person's role, the relevant standard or decision framework, and the practical demands of driving or work.
The information required and the conclusions that can be reached depend on the individual circumstances, the defined questions and any applicable standard.
Professional independence
A fee pays for careful expert work, never a favourable or predetermined conclusion.
The fee does not purchase a particular certificate, report wording or licence recommendation. Any conclusion or recommendation must reflect the defined question, the available information and Dr Hadinata's professional opinion. If a particular outcome is required, this is not the appropriate service.
Fees and Rebates
All appointments and services are privately billed, without exception. Private fees are payable in full. Read the private fees, insurance and rebates FAQ for the practice's payment and funding arrangements.
A Medicare rebate may be available for an eligible consultation when Medicare's requirements are met, including receipt of a valid referral before the consultation. Not every appointment, assessment, report or other service attracts a Medicare rebate. Please do not assume that a rebate will apply.
WorkSafe Victoria and TAC matters are considered case by case. For an outpatient consultation related to a TAC or WorkCover claim, you pay the full private fee first and arrange any eligible reimbursement yourself with TAC or your WorkSafe insurer or agent. The practice does not bill them directly, and you should expect a substantial out-of-pocket gap. Provide claim and funding details before booking; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
