Dual Diagnosis Group Program
Practical skills for co-occurring mental health and substance-use recovery
Dr Eric Hadinata, Addiction Medicine Specialist, authored this ACT-informed group series for the inpatient Dual Diagnosis Program. He leads four of its groups each week, with the 12-session core repeated over a rolling three-week cycle.
The programme also includes 8 standalone reserve modules. Participants can join the core at any point without needing to have attended an earlier session.

Inpatient treatment
A full multidisciplinary programme
The structured weekday programme runs for a full day, Monday to Friday, and combines group treatment with one-to-one therapy. Therapeutic care continues every day, including optional activities and medical reviews on weekends.
Dr Hadinata leads four groups during the weekday programme. These sessions are one part of the broader inpatient timetable, not the whole programme. The resources support reflection, discussion and practice within that wider clinical care.
Allied health team
The allied health team includes:
- psychologists
- a social worker
- a dietitian
- a physiotherapist
- an exercise physiologist

A rolling three-week group sequence
The timetable below shows only the four groups that Dr Hadinata authored and leads each week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The wider inpatient Dual Diagnosis Program continues on Wednesday and over the weekend. It is only this group sequence that has no regular Wednesday session. After Session 3.4, the sequence returns to Session 1.1.
