2025 AChAM Nghi Phung Research Project Prize
The Royal Australasian College of Physicians recognised research examining the impact of telehealth modalities on attendance in addiction clinics.
Dr Eric Hadinata was named the 2025 recipient of the AChAM Nghi Phung Research Project Prize by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
The prize is awarded every two years for the best Advanced Training Research Project in addiction medicine. Dr Hadinata received it for research examining the impact of telehealth modalities on attendance rates in addiction clinics.
The research question
Telephone, video and in-person appointments do not create the same practical conditions for every patient. The project examined whether attendance differed between telehealth modalities in addiction clinics. This update records the prize and its research topic; it does not report unpublished study results.
Professional context
The RACP recipient profile records that Dr Hadinata completed Advanced Training in Addiction Medicine in June 2025 and practises at The Victoria Clinic in Melbourne. It also notes his professional interests in research, education and reducing stigma in alcohol and other drug care.
