Building a Valued Life: Towards What Matters, even in the Darkest Times

Practical psychotherapy sessions to choose with your clinician, with room to reflect, practise and take a next step towards what matters to you.

Developed by Dr Eric Hadinata, Addiction Medicine Specialist, for use in clinician-guided care during treatment with Dr Hadinata.

The Revised and Expanded Edition contains 69 sessions: 12 core sessions and expanded optional pathways. Use the sessions that fit your current needs and agreed care plan; the full book is not a list to complete from beginning to end.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) provides the organising direction throughout the 69 sessions: making room for experience and acting towards what matters. Selected DBT, MBT and RO-DBT methods support that direction, with expanded substance-use work connecting acceptance, defusion, emotion regulation, a wider sense of self and values-led action.

The overview and contents are public. The complete participant resources and facilitator resources require their existing separate access details.
